In today’s episode, Nancy unpacks one of the most deceptive idols in both culture and the Church—self-expression. Through the lens of Proverbs 4:23 and 1 Corinthians 2:16, she reminds us that the soul—our mind, will, and emotions—was never meant to be the star of the show. It is not our source of identity or truth, but a vessel designed to express the life of God from within. When the soul becomes an idol, we confuse emotion with revelation, personality with identity, and preference with obedience. But when the soul is restored to its proper place under the government of the Spirit, we begin to live in union with the Father—not just positionally, but experientially. This is a clear and compelling call to dethrone the idol of self-expression and allow His voice to become our voice.
